Introduction
A sour or sour cocktail is a traditional family of mixed drinks;
probably the most common example of a sour cocktail is margarita or the
whiskey sour. Sours belong to the old families of cocktails.

Essential elements of sour cocktails
Every sour cocktail must contain liquor,
lemon or lime juice, sweetener and occasionally liqueur, Egg whites, soda water
or ginger beer
Glass
- Rocks glass
- Martini
- Collins
- High ball
Mixing Technique
- Mixing Technique: sours are always Shaken
- Always dry shake when the drink have egg withe, so you
can get the frothy texture
Ratios
This is the simple but effective
template I use for all of sours:
- Liquor
1.50 oz.
- Juice
0.75 oz.
- Sweetener
0.25 oz.
In case the cocktails goes with egg
withe or liqueur:
- Liqueur
0.50 oz.
- Egg withe 1.00 oz. or
1 egg withe
